TRANSLATING CONTEMPORARY CARIBBEAN WRITING
This contribution will focus on the translation of contemporary Caribbean literature. It will take as its primary case studies two recent experiences of translation from and into English of, respectively, a novel by Trinidadian writer Elizabeth Nunez and a short story by Martinican writer Roger Parsemain, to interrogate the politics of transnational literary circulation.
